NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting curriculum focuses on the proper and safe use of firearms.  We start with a focus on firearm safety. We then move to ammunition, the parts and function of revolvers and semi-auto handguns, a primer on California firearms law, and then to the fundamentals of pistol shooting. We conclude the class with a range session where you will be given the opportunity to try different pistols with the help of our instructors. This will give you a solid foundation towards the purchase of a pistol when you are ready. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules, and a course completion certificate.
